• Drama: Students engage with plays by Irish and international playwrights, examining character, dramatic techniques, and cultural or social context.

• Comparative Study: This component requires comparing and contrasting different texts—such as novels, plays, and films—to explore literary and cinematic techniques more deeply.

• Comprehension: Students demonstrate their ability to understand and analyze unseen texts, including articles, essays, and literary extracts.

• Creative Writing: The exam also features a creative writing section, giving students the chance to showcase their imagination through short stories, essays, or speeches.
